Maps of The United States

Hawai'i and Alaska get the short end of the stick when it comes to US cartography. On most US maps, the 49th and 50th states are never drawn to scale, floating haphazardly somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico—if they make the map at all. This project aimed to remedy past cartographic errors.
